Ryan Widzgowski

One of the fastest Mainers of all time in the 800 and 1000, Ryan Widzgowski joined NE Distance in the Fall of 2015 after concluding an All-American career at Keene State College. Ryan was an annual staple at the NCAA Division III National Championship meet in all three disciplines: cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. He ran to a runner-up finish in the Mile at the 2013 NCAA Division III meet in running a 4:07.86. He returned in the spring to earn bronze medal honors in the 1,500 meter run: only two seconds off being named national champion. Ryan earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship meet after finishing 11th in the New England Region race. In the winter of his senior year, he finished in 6th in the 800 meter run and again earning national runner-up honors in the Mile. Ryan concluded his Keene State career with another All-American performance with a 9th place finish in the 1,500 meter run at the 2014 NCAA III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

While Ryan has not been with NE Distance for long, he has already contributed to their success with his mid-distance speed. He brought home the 2016 USATF New England Indoor 800 meter title. He still looks to add to every faucet of NE Distance, both on and off the track. Ryan is committed to his community having coached middle school youth in Keene, NH prior to joining NE Distance.
